I'm pleased to share that we are now working with Next Jazz Legacy, an initiative founded by Terri Lyne Carrington and Vanessa Reed, presented by New Music USA and Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice, which aims to expand opportunities for women and non-binary artists who have been historically underrepresented in jazz.
I'm thrilled to share that the Mellon Foundation has awarded $1.25m to the organization, ensuring its continuation for three more years. Applications for the fourth cohort launch today and will be accepted until November 12.
