JAZZ PHOTOGRAPHY RECAP: Noah Sherman and Friends at FSC by Harvey Tillis

The Fulton Street Collective, FSC, presented a performance by NOAH SHERMAN & FRIENDS. Two sets featured original music from the band’s R.I.C.O.’s debut album “Matter Of” and Noah Sherman’s upcoming Sophomore project “Welcome Home“ The band has been working together consistently on each other’s projects for three years. Noah’s album highlights the Malinke traditional Djembe Kahn and the traditional Black American styles of music such as Swing, Hip Hop and Bebop. R.I.C.O.’s album represents a pursuit of greatness and growth through the musical traditions of Gospel, Jazz and R&B. Noah Sherman – Drums & cymbals, Matthew Tanner III – piano/keyboard/organ, Jeff Wheaton – bass, and Solomon Leonard – viola. The evening featured live painting from visual artist Samantha Ohlson who invited audience members to participate in her creations.
