A Guide to the Hyde Park Jazz Festival September 23 & 24

The 11th Annual Hyde Park Jazz Festival will present more than three-dozen free performances and programs on 11 stages across the neighborhood this weekend, September 23th-24th.

Below is a Map of the different venues that are hosting live performances during the Hyde Park Jazz Festival along with a FREE Shuttle route that will run throughout the neighborhood allowing jazz fans to easily travel from one venue to another.

Casual Music Fan Tips to the Fest

If you love festivals in Chicago then the Hyde Park Jazz Festival is the one you have to experience. However I am often asked about what groups people should plan to see if they don't know much about the artists performing.

To help you get around the fest I put together a short list of artists that I think will appeal to a casual music fan. THESE ARE NOT THE ONLY ARTISTS YOU SHOULD SEE!!! I hope I made my self clear! These are groups that I think would be a good starting point to introduce the casual music fan into the world of jazz.
