Howard Reich In Conversation with Orbert Davis, The Life of Ella

Chicago native Howard Reich is an acclaimed journalist, serving 30 years as the Chicago Tribune's Jazz Editor. Howard’s stories took him to London, Paris, Warsaw, Vienna, Moscow, Munich, Prague, Havana, Panama and many other stunning locales. Howard received many accolades over his career including an Emmy Award, Chicago Journalist of the Year Award, and an Alumni Merit Award from Northwestern University’s Alumni Association, to name a few. 




Howard interviewed Ella Fitzgerald on several occasions and featured her for his book, Portraits in Jazz. Howard will join Orbert Davis for an intimate look into the life of Ella, her career, and her impact, not only in the jazz scene but the cultural landscape of America.
