Neil Carson’s Steely Dan tribute band, the Day-Glo Freaks, performed two complete albums, Aja and The Royal Scam, and additional hits at the Fulton Street Collective, FSC, in Chicago on March 5, 2025.
Day-Glo Freaks include:
Neil Carson saxophonist/arranger/vocalist, Lauren Dukes vocals, Brandon Lampkin vocals, Kathryn Lachey vocals, Brandon Hunt guitar, Andrew Lawrence keyboard, Andrew Vogt bass, Zack Marks drums, Constantine Alexander trumpet, Jeff Livorsi trombone, Corbin Andrick tenor sax & flute, and Roy McGrath bari sax.
Visual artist John Ross Wilson created a painting based on an outtake from the original photographer Hideki Fujii’s shoot for Steely Dan’s Aja album cover and Lewis Achenbach created his unique depiction of the band.
