Guitarist Slim Gambill released his solo debut, Fake Jazz & Theme Songs and will be performing at the HVAC in Chicago on Thursday October 10th. Slim’s day job is lead guitarist for the hit country group Lady Antebellum but Slim has been performing and recording in many different styles for years.
On this interview Slim talks with Chicago Jazz Magazine founder, Mike Jeffers, and previews his new release, talks about how he conceptualized the different tunes on the new recording, talks about his extensive studio career and previews his upcoming performance in Chicago.
