CD Release Event at City Winery Chicago March 14th - 7:30pm
The Chicago Jazz Orchestra is proud to celebrate the release of it’s new CD, “ Live from Space.” This project, recorded in the Summer of 2016, highlights the writing and playing talents of some of Chicago’s finest musicians. This special project marks the CJO’s first live recording in over 25 years. Featuring an exciting mix of new music and classic transcriptions, this album is sure to please. Some of the highlights of the album include an exciting new arrangement of the Theme from Star Trek by Tom Garling and a brand new commission by Bill Holman entitled, “ A Matter of Time.” The track listing includes:
