9/2/22 - Day 2 of the Chicago Jazz Festival.The Regina Harris Baiocchi 6Degrees Jazz Sextet at Von Freeman Pavilion featured Felicia Patton vocals, Edwin Daugherty sax, Chad McCullough trumpet, Victor Garcia trumpet & congas, Ester Hanna keys, Emma Dayhuff bass, and Samuel Jewell drums & cymbals.
The WDCB Jazz Lounge on Millennium Park’s South Promenade hosted a bari sax fest with Julie Wood and Rajiv Halim. The band also featured Mike Allemana guitar, Joshua Ramos bass and Charles Rick Heath drums & cymbals.
Meanwhile Arman Sangalang performed at the North Promenade with Dave Miller guitar, Matt Ulery bass, and Devin Drobka drums & cymbals.
The Lenard Simpson Quartet hit Harris Theater’s Rooftop Terrace. Simpson on alto sax, Julius Tucker piano, Runere Brooks bass, and Samuel Jewell drums & cymbals.
The Von Freeman Pavilion featured Russ Johnson, Ethan Philion, and Mark Feldman. Henry Johnson and Charles Rick Heath played at the WDCB Jazz Lounge. And Adam O’Farrill’s Strange Days played at the North Promenade.
