Stephanie Aaron (jazz standards) Kings of the Lobby A jazz/funk outfit founded in 2015 by Chicago saxophonist Chris Madsen. The band was created in the mold of the classic Brecker Brothers band but has carved out a niche performing Madsen's arrangements of pop standards from the 70s through the 90s. Equally at home playing soft grooves and intense funk, the Kings bring jazz improvisational flare to some of pop music's finest songs. Having already headlined at such venues as the Fulton Street Collective, Andy's Jazz Club, Reggie's music joint, Martyrs, the Debonair Social Club, and UIC's "Tuesdays at One" concert series, Kings of the Lobby boasts some of Chicago's very finest musicians.
